Electrical control of spin filtering in a vertical tunnel transistor
Controlling the spin of electrons with the same flexibility that a conventional transistor controls electrical current is one of the major goals of next-generation electronics. Such control is expected to enable faster, more energy-efficient memories and logic circuits.
